AI Stock Map ("we", "us") is an informational platform that provides data visualization of publicly traded companies in the AI sector. We do NOT provide financial advice, investment recommendations, or trading suggestions.

2.1 Account Data

When you create an account, we store your username and a SHA-256 hash of your password locally in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device.

2.2 User Preferences

We store your favorites, portfolio entries, price alerts, and notes locally in your browser's localStorage.

2.3 Consent Preferences

We store your cookie/localStorage consent choice.

3. Data Storage

All user data is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. We do NOT use server-side databases, cookies, or cloud storage for personal data. Your data exists only on your device and browser.

4. Third-Party Services

• Finnhub API: Used for real-time market data. Subject to Finnhub's privacy policy.
• Google Fonts: Font files loaded from Google's CDN. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
• Vercel: Our hosting provider. Standard web server logs may be collected.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We do NOT use cookies. We use localStorage for:

• User authentication sessions
• Account data (favorites, portfolio, alerts, notes)
• Consent preferences
• UI preferences

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

• Right to Access: View all your data in your Account settings
• Right to Export: Export all your data as JSON from Account settings
• Right to Deletion: Delete your account and all data from Account settings
• Right to Rectify: Edit your preferences at any time

7. Data Retention

Your data persists in localStorage until you delete your account or clear your browser data.

8. Children's Privacy

This service is not directed to individuals under 18.
